Sushi-go-round

Today we toured the city of Sapporo, which feels like New England in its climate and is very easy to navigate, designed on a grid system. It's a relatively new city, dating back only to the late 1800's. A key figure in its history was a Massachusetts teacher named William Clark, who inspired his students with his motto "Boys, be ambitious". I kind of like that. Girls can be ambitious too.

For lunch we stopped in at a sushi-go-round. The sushi is on a conveyor belt around the restaurant, and patrons grab what they want and pay by the plate. I like the salmon and the scallops, but avoided things with legs.

Late afternoon found me forced to visit the Sapporo Brewery, for a tour and tasting- all done against my will. Kanpai!
Hello again
