Hiroshima Kids

We were greeted in Hiroshima by an enthusiastic bunch of 9th grade students, whose daunting task was to escort across the Peace Memorial Park. The students had prepared scripts to teach us about the history of the city and the meaning of the many monuments. They also were ambassadors for peace, which seems like a pretty good idea.

The kids also escorted us to lunch, where we chatted about sports, the weather, and favorite foods. Kind of like listening to Chamblee kids trying have a German conversation. Nihon go ga wakarimasu sen- I don't understand Japanese.
